Dr. Harkrider is a board-certified emergency medicine doctor and fellow in the American Board of Emergency Medicine for over 40 years. His background includes being a clinical professor for Emory, Mercer, and Medical College of Georgia, head of the Med Plus Urgent care clinics for many years and he was the CEO of the Emergency Department of North Georgia Medical Center. Dr. Harkrider has also been awarded the designation of Senior Airmen Medical Examiner from the FAA.
Born and raised just north of Atlanta, he and his wife of 35 years reside in beautiful Flowery Branch, Georgia with their 2 dogs and 5 cats. His hobbies include music, sailing and he is an instrument-rated pilot.
